DENVER (July 19, 2007) - Once again, Holland & Hart LLP was ranked among the top 10 pro bono firms in the nation. In The American Lawyer's Pro Bono Scorecard, Holland & Hart was named the no. 6 firm in the country based on pro bono hours. Since this list was first published in 1998, the firm has consistently ranked within the top eight firms in the nation.
"Sixty years ago, Holland & Hart was founded with a strong commitment to client service and the community. Our pro bono legal services are just one way that we give back," said firm Chairman Paul Phillips. "Being recognized repeatedly as a national leader in pro bono work is a great honor and illustration of our attorneys’ dedication to our founding principles."
In 2006, each Holland & Hart attorney worked an average of 104.7 pro bono hours, and nearly 90 percent of the firm's attorneys handled more than 20 hours of pro bono work. Nationwide, only eight firms averaged 100 pro bono hours or more per attorney and only five firms had more than 85 percent of their attorneys handling an excess of 20 hours of pro bono work.
Holland & Hart is the only firm based in the Rocky Mountains to be included in the pro bono rankings as well as The American Lawyers list of 200 leading law firms, which was published earlier this year.
