Holland & Hart Represents SM Energy in Capital Markets Transaction to Finance Permian Acquisition

Holland & Hart represented Denver-based client SM Energy Company in connection with the financing of its recently announced agreement to acquire 24,783 net acres in Howard County, West Texas for $980 million. To partially finance the transaction, SM Energy completed public offerings of $172 million in 1.5% convertible senior notes and $552 million in common stock.

Holland & Hart’s deal team was led by Denver partners Lucy Stark and Kit LeVoy and also included Scott Berdan, Michael Dill, Chris Myers, Dillon Peters, Christie DiNapoli, Tim Mohan, Nathan Miller, Adam Cohen, Sarah Ritchey, Elizabeth Mitchell, Cory Talbot, Marilyn Moll, and Louise Mousseau.
