Holland & Hart represented Holcim, a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions, in the acquisition of the sand and aggregates quarries of Pioneer Landscape Centers (Pioneer), a market leader in the fast-growing metropolitan markets of Denver, Phoenix, and Colorado Springs and a major supplier of construction aggregates for this region.
The transaction includes thirteen quarries and complements Holcim’s December 2022 acquisition of aggregate reserves in Greeley, Colorado. This transaction strengthens Holcim's position by adding to local reserves, alleviating supply constraints, and expanding existing quarry production. The acquisitions will support Holcim’s growth in the region for several decades.
The Holland & Hart transactional team was led by Todd Criger and Chris Groll, with assistance from attorneys Andrew Leddy, Peter Perla, Evan Randall, Jean Feriancek, Jennifer Huntsman, Kylie Crandall, Cory Talbot, Arthur Hundhausen, Trent Timmons, Chris Martin, Meghan McGregor, Hayley Siltanen, and paralegals Kevin Williams and Erin Goldbaum, among others.
