Holland & Hart represented Clearway Energy Group (Clearway), a leading integrated clean energy company with the 5th largest renewable operating fleet in the US, in the negotiation of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreements with D.H. Blattner & Sons, LLC for two major energy projects in Fresno and San Bernardino counties in California. The 200 MW Luna Valley Solar Project is in Fresno County and 113.5 MW Daggett Standalone Storage facility is in San Bernardino County.
Clearway recently announced it has closed more than $700 million in construction financing and has begun construction on the energy projects. D.H. Blattner & Sons, a fourth generation, privately held EPC solar energy contractor primarily serving the Western region of the US, is leading the construction. The projects are contracted under long-term agreements with load-serving entities San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, and Power & Water Resources Pooling Authority. Both projects are scheduled to reach commercial operations in 2025.
