Holland & Hart Represents Centerra Gold in its Acquisition of Thompson Creek Metals

Holland & Hart represented Centerra Gold (Centerra), a gold mining and exploration company located in Toronto, Canada, in connection with its Plan of Arrangement to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Denver-based Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. for $1.1 billion in shares and cash. Centerra is engaged in the operation, exploration, development, and acquisition of gold properties in Asia, North America, and other markets worldwide. According to the company’s release, the deal makes Centerra a geographically diversified gold producer with a high quality producing platform and a strong growth pipeline.

Holland & Hart’s multi-dimensional deal team worked as co-counsel with Stikeman Elliot in Toronto. The Holland & Hart team was led by Denver Tech Center partners Bob Bassett and Amy Bowler and also included Don Ewigleben, Karol Kahalley, and Nick Venetz, among many others.
