Holland & Hart represented Centerra Gold (Centerra), a gold mining and exploration company located in Toronto, Canada, in connection with its Plan of Arrangement to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Denver-based Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. for $1.1 billion in shares and cash. Centerra is engaged in the operation, exploration, development, and acquisition of gold properties in Asia, North America, and other markets worldwide. According to the company’s release, the deal makes Centerra a geographically diversified gold producer with a high quality producing platform and a strong growth pipeline.
