Holland & Hart LLP was recognized by the ACG and M&A Adviser New York Champions' Awards at Sotheby's New York for its work on the purchase of Ennstone, Inc. by Bardon, Inc., and its affiliate Aggregate Industries Management, Inc., both subsidiaries of publicly-traded Holcim Ltd (SWX:HOLN).

Holland & Hart served as counsel to Bardon and Aggregate Industries. Team members included Chris Groll, Sam Edwards, Brockett Hudson, Mark Wiletsky, John Davis, Beth Nedrow, John Maxfield, and Holly Olsen.

The sale was named the Middle Market Deal of the Year (between $25 million and $50 million), and was also recognized as the Industrial Manufacturing & Distribution Deal of the Year (between $5 million and $50 million). Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Holland & Hart's corporate group is honored to receive this award, which rewards our excellence in middle market transactions and corporate representation," said Chris Groll, team lead on the deal. "We're proud of our great lawyers, who work as a team to bring their breadth of experience to assist companies of all sizes in their corporate and transactional needs, including general corporate advice, private and public financings, M&A and capital markets transactions."

"The ACG New York Champion's Awards winners represent the best of M&A in the New York area in 2012 and earned these honors by distinguishing themselves among a group of very impressive finalists," said Roger Aguinaldo, CEO of The M&A Advisor.

Criteria used by the judges included the importance of the transaction, product, service or dealmaker to the industry and also the level of creativity, resourcefulness and perseverance it took to complete the deal.

Other members of the deal team recognized at the event included the following: Aggregate Industries Management, McGuire Woods, LLP, Phoenix Capital Resources, Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking, and VRooms.
