Holland & Hart Named Top Firm in the U.S. and One of the Leading Firms in the World in Mining

Denver, Colorado (June 14 , 2005) - Holland & Hart is recognized by the global legal mining community as one of the top five mining law firms in the world and as the top mining law firm in the U.S. according to the 2005 International Who's Who of Business Lawyers.

"Holland & Hart has four partners in this publication, making it the best represented of all U.S. firms. In the figures of Paul Schlauch and Robert Bassett it has two of the world's most highly nominated practitioners. They are joined in the publication by Robert Connery and Jack Palma," according to Who's Who

In addition to its global recognition, Holland & Hart is recognized as the top firm in Colorado. It received three attorney nominations within the state, topping other Colorado firms.

The publication deems Mr. Schlauch "the world's leading mining lawyer." He was praised for international transactional work and "received more nominations than any other lawyer in the publication."

The publication goes on to say, "With Robert Bassett also faring well in the research, Holland & Hart [is] the only firm with two lawyers appearing in this list of the most highly nominated practitioners. Indeed, one respondent referred to Bassett as 'the king of mining law.'"

Those attorneys recognized are selected through nominations by general counsel and business lawyers in private practice worldwide. Who's Who conducts comprehensive surveys of the attorneys' peers to develop the list of the most highly regarded individuals and the best represented law firms.
