Holland & Hart is proud to announce that Denver partner Jonathan Bender has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). LCA is a highly selective, invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society, recognizing qualified lawyers who demonstrate excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
LCA's membership is limited to just 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, and maintains a diverse composition, recognizing excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar. The organization's mission encompasses recognizing deserving, experienced, and highly qualified lawyers; promoting superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law; and advancing a superior judiciary by taking relevant positions on issues affecting judicial compensation and the American litigation processes.
Jon helps clients navigate and solve complex problems in and out of the courtroom. His significant advocacy experience in federal and state courts, regulatory agencies, arbitrations, and mediations, includes complex commercial litigation, state and local tax controversies, and bankruptcy/receivership matters across industries including recreation/hospitality, mining, real estate, oil and gas, healthcare, and financial services. As Administrative Partner of the Denver office, Jon provides administrative oversight and drives market-based initiatives while serving as a longstanding member of the firm's diversity committee.
The 2025 LCA Annual Conference & Celebration of Fellows was held on October 22-24. Jon joins these other Holland & Hart litigators who are also LCA Fellows: Brianne McClafferty, Christopher Toll, Katherine Varholak, Maureen Reidy Witt, and Mary York.
