Holland & Hart Awards 2nd $10,000 Diversity Scholarship

DENVER (November 5, 2008) - Holland & Hart LLP awarded its second annual $10,000 Summer Associate Diversity Scholarship to Yasmin Naghash.

Naghash is a second year student at The American University, Washington College of Law where she serves as junior editor for the Business Law Brief.  She is also a legal writing tutor for international students under the Legal Rhetoric Department.  During the summer after her first year in law school, Naghash clerked at the U.S. Department of State, Office of Legal Adviser, Division of International Claims and Investment Disputes.

Prior to attending law school, Naghash earned a B.A. in Political Science cum laude from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As an undergraduate, she served as legal counsel for the College’s student government and helped create a minor in International Relations. Versed in three foreign languages, Naghash studied abroad three times under various scholarships including The Department of State Critical Language Scholarship and The Global Intercultural Exchange Program at the University of Michigan. Naghash has also interned for Federal Circuit Court Judge David Tatel and Congresswoman Constance Morella. 

Holland & Hart the first firm in the Mountain West to offer a $10,000 scholarship to second year law students. Each year, the firm's Diversity and Recruitment Committees choose a scholarship recipient who works as a paid summer associate and receives the $10,000 scholarship for tuition.
