Holland & Hart Attorneys Write Guide to Commercial Leasing

BOULDER (July 10, 2008) - Holland & Hart attorneys Beat Steiner and Edyn Jessup wrote Commercial Leasing in Colorado A Practical Guide, which was published by Bradford Publishing Company earlier this month.

Written with Colorado real estate attorneys and leasing brokers in mind, Steiner and Jessup's book covers basic legal principles while highlighting the strategies used behind the scenes in negotiating, drafting, and modifying lease provisions. Steiner and Jessup have also provided useful checklists for every common lease clause, a glossary of legal and real estate terms, and several example leasing forms.

Steiner is a partner in the firm's Boulder office. He has been practicing law for more than 25 years with a practice emphasizing the acquisition, disposition, development and financing of real estate. Steiner's practice has included many highly complex real estate and corporate transactions. He has been involved with the representation of the bank group financing Colorado's largest homebuilder, the joint venture developing the headquarters building of a major airline, one of Boulder's largest employers for approval of its planned unit development, and development of the Breckenridge ski area base. Steiner is a member of Holland & Hart's Real Estate and Corporate practice groups and is head of the firm's Resorts, Lodging and Leisure industry group.

Jessup is an associate in the firm's Boulder office. Her practice focuses on real estate finance and development transactions. She represents developers, lenders, and corporate owners of real estate. She has significant experience in commercial leasing and works extensively with common interest communities, real estate joint ventures and affordable housing developments.
