Holland & Hart is proud to announce that partners Dean Bennett, Steven Gutierrez, and Steven Suflas have been named to the 19th edition of the Lawdragon 500 Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers guide. Bennett was recognized for Employment & Labor, Litigation; Gutierrez was recognized for Labor & Employment; and Suflas was recognized for Hall of Fame (HOF) – Labor & Employment, esp. Litigation.
This Lawdragon 500 practice guide recognizes the nation’s best advisors on the world of employment and labor law, from traditional labor matters, immigration, and all matters of litigation and arbitration, including wage and hour class actions, discrimination, trade secrets, and non-compete agreements.
Bennett represents clients in nearly every aspect of management-side employment law to resolve complex employment, contract, and other business disputes. He counsels clients on compliance matters, assists clients with pre-litigation matters, and represents clients in court and before state and federal agencies to resolve claims of whistleblowing, wage and hour violations, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. Bennett regularly writes and speaks on management-side employment matters.
Gutierrez advises employers on how to attract, incentivize, and retain talent and helps his clients effectively handle the varied challenges of the modern employment relationship. He helps companies protect trade-secrets, enforce restrictive covenants, and meet with unions to navigate the complex environment of traditional labor. Gutierrez’s extensive experience providing strategic and tactical counsel in pre-litigation negotiations and resolutions, at hearings for and against emergency injunctive relief, at mediations, and before other administrative bodies, including the NLRB, EEOC, and Colorado Civil Rights Division, has saved his clients substantially.
Leveraging more than four decades of national experience, Suflas provides strategic counsel and pragmatic guidance to help employers respond to employment and labor law issues. An experienced litigator, Suflas understands the tactical positioning required to advance an employer’s rights, whether defending them in individual or class actions and appeals in state or federal court; before administrative agencies, including the NLRB, EEOC, and Utah Labor Commission; or in arbitration and mediation.
