Holland & Hart Attorneys Named Leaders In Mining

DENVER (August 16, 2007) - Holland & Hart LLP attorneys Robert Basset, Robert Connery, Jack Palma, and Paul Schlauch were named leading attorneys in mining by The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers

The attorneys selected for this honor were nominated by their peers as the world's leading practitioners in mining law. Only 56 mining attorneys worldwide are included in this year's publication.

Bassett is an attorney in Holland & Hart's Denver Tech Center office. The publication states that he is "internationally renowned for the quality of his work." He is a Committee Chairman for the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver teaching international mining law.

Connery is an attorney in the Denver office who has practiced environmental law for 41 years. His practice includes environmental planning, permitting, and compliance work on major industrial and mining projects as well as environmental litigation. He was also recognized by the publication for his work with environmental issues.

Palma, a partner in the firm's Cheyenne office, has more than 25 years experience in natural resource and environmental law, including extensive work in federal and state public land law, NEPA, environmental regulatory compliance and permitting, oil and gas, minerals, and water.

Schlauch is a partner in the Denver Tech Center office and has more than 30 years experience in legal issues relating to the mining industry. Who's Who has named him "Mining Lawyer of the Year" for three consecutive years, having won the award every year since its inception. Who's Who Editor in chief Callum Campbell says, "Paul Schlauch's continuing success demonstrates a consistent and unparalleled level of performance and service to clients. We have no hesitation in declaring him the leading lawyer for mining expertise."
