Holland & Hart Advises Clearway Energy Group on $400 Million Honeycomb Energy Center Expansion in Utah

Holland & Hart represented Clearway Energy Group (Clearway), a leading integrated clean energy company in connection with the construction of, and procurement of major equipment for, the expansion of the Honeycomb Energy Center in Beaver and Iron counties, Utah.

Clearway announced on October 9, 2026 that it had closed financing and begun construction on an additional 210 MW of battery energy storage for the Honeycomb Energy Center, supported by long-term contracts with PacifiCorp. The approximately $400 million expansion advances the project's second phase, adding three new storage facilities and growing Clearway's Utah storage fleet to seven systems capable of storing and deploying 2,120 megawatt-hours to help balance supply and demand on Utah's electrical grid.
