Holland & Hart Adds Sen. Murkowski's Former Chief of Staff to Anchorage and Washington, DC Offices

DENVER (March 25, 2024)—Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce that Kaleb Froehlich has rejoined the firm as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Washington, DC and Anchorage offices. Kaleb leverages experience with regulatory, policy, and political issues to help clients operating in the energy and natural resources industries navigate the complex federal and Alaska regulatory landscape.

Kaleb most recently served as Chief of Staff to US Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), where he was the principal architect of policy, legislative, and communications strategies affecting the interests of Alaska and Alaskans. His congressional experience also includes serving for over five years as Senior Counsel to the United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.

“Kaleb is an adept bipartisan problem solver,” said Kelly Johnson, Administrative Partner of the Washington, DC office. “He has a remarkable ability to get at the root of an issue and build creative solutions with divergent stakeholders. Growing the Government Affairs team in our Washington, DC office is a strategic priority for the firm and Kaleb will be a valuable asset to energy and natural resource clients with matters involving the federal government and agencies,” she added.

“With the deep relationships he has developed over the years with Alaska legislators, executives, and agency officials and his experience growing up in Alaska, Kaleb knows the decision makers and how to get things done in our state,” said Jon Katchen, Administrative Partner of the Anchorage office. “I’m looking forward to working with Kaleb again on strategies for Alaska clients operating in the mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, public lands, tourism, fisheries, arctic, and renewable energy industries.”

“I am excited to rejoin Holland & Hart,” shared Kaleb. “I was honored to lead Senator Murkowski’s team and I’m proud of the many accomplishments our team achieved despite the fractious Congressional environment. I look forward to leveraging those experiences and offering creative strategies to our energy and natural resources clients confronting challenging federal and Alaska state government processes.”

Before first joining Holland & Hart in 2019, Kaleb was an Associate at Greenberg Traurig LLP, and served as Senior Counsel at the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and as Senior Advisor to the Arctic Encounter Symposium.
