Holland & Hart Achieves Mansfield Rule 3.0 Certification Plus Status

DENVER — Holland & Hart is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year it has achieved Mansfield Certification after completing the year-long Mansfield Rule 3.0 program, an initiative of Diversity Lab. The Mansfield Rule certification measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered women, attorneys of color, LGBTQ+ attorneys, and attorneys with disabilities—at least 30% of the candidate pool—for recruitment, governance roles, equity partner promotions, and inclusion in formal pitch presentations to clients. The firm is among 100 leading law firms to achieve Mansfield Certification.

Holland & Hart is also one of 67 participating law firms to achieve Mansfield Certification Plus status, which indicates that, in addition to meeting or exceeding the baseline requirements for Certification, the firm successfully reached at least 30% diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of their current leadership roles and committees. Certification Plus status allows newly admitted partners to participate in the client pitch aspect of the Mansfield Rule Client Forums that provide valuable opportunities to build relationships with and learn from in-house counsel collaborators.

“We are invested in diversifying our workforce and our firm leadership as inclusively and impactfully as possible,” said Lucy Stark, Managing Partner. “The Mansfield Rule’s emphasis on inclusion efforts and its measurement of actual diversity help to hold us accountable. Over the three years that Holland & Hart has participated in the Mansfield Rule, we have significantly broadened the diversity of our lateral partner candidate pool through detailed tracking and intentional outreach, resulting in more diverse and female lawyers being considered and hired. We are proud to be among the firms committed to ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion remain front and center as strategic priorities.”

The firm is among 117 other law firms that have signed on to participate in Mansfield Rule 4.0. To achieve Certification Plus in 2021, firms must demonstrate that 30% of the lawyers staffed on matters resulting from formal pitch meetings be historically underrepresented lawyers.
