DENVER — Holland & Hart is proud to announce that, for the sixth consecutive year, it has achieved Mansfield Rule Certification and Mansfield Rule Certification Plus status. Mansfield Rule is a structured certification process designed to ensure that all talent at participating law firms and legal departments has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership.
Focused on opening the door wider and ensuring that opportunities are inclusive for people of all backgrounds, the 240+ Mansfield Certified firms considered broad slates of qualified talent for leadership roles that included at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers—such as women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities.
Mansfield Certification Plus recognizes the processes and steps Holland & Hart has taken over the past year to ensure that our paths to leadership—including lateral hiring, client pitch teams, promotions, appointments, and more—are open and transparent to all qualified lawyers. Only half of the Mansfield Certified firms achieved the “Plus” honor this year.
“Diversity of perspectives and of professional and personal experiences among members of our leadership team is vital to the firm and our clients, said Phyllis Wan, Holland & Hart’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “Mansfield Rule’s requirement of clear, accessible policies, and transparent leadership pathways helps encourage lawyers of all backgrounds and experiences, even at the earliest stage of their careers, to consider advancement to partner and the possibility of future leadership.”
Holland & Hart is one of 28 law firms which participated in the inaugural Mansfield Rule program to achieve Certification Plus status for six consecutive years. Read here for more information about the Mansfield Rule.
