Health Law Webinar - ACA Anti-Discrimination Rules Finalized

On May 18, 2016, HHS published its final rules implementing the anti-discrimination provisions of the Affordable Care Act § 1557. Effective July 18, 2016, healthcare providers will be required to take action to prevent discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. This webinar will discuss the requirements for providers, including:

  1. Entities covered by the new rules
  2. Sex discrimination—what it is and is not
  3. Language assistance for persons with limited English proficiency
  4. Accommodations for persons with disabilities
  5. Mandatory notice requirements
  6. Required grievance procedures
  7. Penalties for noncompliance
