Health Law Basics Webinar - Intellectual Property Issues for Healthcare Entities

Healthcare entities rely heavily on intellectual property (IP) for the success of their operations and for the provisioning and marketing of the quality care they render. However, failure to secure adequate rights and protections with regards to IP can have devastating consequences, limiting the number of individuals whom could benefit from such healthcare entities’ services. Matthew Cavarra will provide an overview of IP rights and offer practical suggestions on how to obtain and protect the IP rights important to the success of your healthcare entities’ business. Specifically, he will discuss among other items:

  • How to identify important IP for your organization, and secure and protect it
  • Use of IP for your entity in marketing and on the Internet
  • IP rights in software and technology
  • Protecting yourself against those wishing to cause confusion
  • Avoiding costs associated with IP “trolls”
