The H-1B lottery process this year coincides with the start of a new presidential administration. Employers may be concerned about how the new administration may affect the H-1B visa process.
This year’s H-1B lottery will also continue to incorporate an Electronic Registration Process which allows employers to initially submit an H-1B lottery electronic application without incurring the time and expense of preparing the traditional government forms.
Additionally, employers nationwide have experienced increased H-1B denials, as the government continues to scrutinize entry-level computer-related occupations. National approval rates stand at 71%, an increase in the number of denials compared to 2015.
