Greg Goldberg Nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge

DENVER (July 11, 2008) - Holland & Hart LLP commends the White House's nomination of Greg Goldberg to fill a judicial vacancy on the U.S. District Court in Denver, which was announced yesterday.

"This is a great honor for Greg, who has dedicated his professional life to excellence in the justice system," said Managing Partner Lawrence Wolfe. "Greg's strong commitment to the administration of justice has been a model for others in the firm. If his nomination to the bench is affirmed, our courts will benefit from his dynamic experience and dedication to our country's legal system."

Goldberg is a partner in Holland & Hart's litigation, white-collar, and corporate compliance practice groups. Specifically, he represents companies and individuals in federal commercial litigation and in responding to government, criminal and administrative investigations. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Goldberg served in the U.S. Department of Justice as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he tried many jury trials and argued numerous cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. In 2002, the U.S. Attorney General presented Goldberg with the Director's Award for superior performance as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.

Holland & Hart also congratulates fellow nominee, Christine Arguello. An attorney with Holland & Hart from 1985 to 1991, Arguello was also the first partner of Hispanic descent.
