Five Holland & Hart LLP attorneys have been named among the Who’s Who Legal listing for mining law. Steven Barringer, Robert A. Bassett, A. John Davis III, Jack D. Palma, and Lawrence J. Wolfe were selected for this prestigious international listing which identifies the foremost legal practitioners in multiple areas of business law. In addition, Bassett was named among the 20 most highly regarded individuals globally, and Barringer was lauded as an “exceptional environmental regulation and clean-up specialist who clients describe as a ‘real life-saver’ for his risk avoidance advice.”
This year, 408 practitioners are highlighted in the list of leading mining lawyers from 228 firms across 65 countries. In total, this site features over 16,000 of the World’s leading private practice lawyers from over 100 national jurisdictions. The organization prides itself on the integrity and authority of its findings. It is impossible to buy entry into this publication.
The organization acts as a reference source for companies seeking to corroborate the reputations of expert lawyers recommended by another party. However, because referrals are often lateral, the organization also aims to create a network among the lawyers listed, who will know the ablest lawyers in their own practice area, but may not be so familiar with other fields and countries in interdisciplinary and international transactions.
Who’s Who Legal is published by Law Business Research Limited.
“This is a small, very elite group selected mostly from international law firms,” said Holland & Hart partner and Environment, Energy & Natural Resources practice group leader Kelly Johnson. Their honor is certainly well-deserved and a great tribute to our fine mining lawyers at Holland & Hart.”
