EPA’s proposed National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for Ozone was published in the Federal Register today. The proposed standard of 65-70 parts per billion (ppb) is a more stringent standard than the current Ozone NAAQS of 75 ppb. The proposed standard will have profound implications for the Mountain West. If EPA reduced the standard to 65 ppb, 53 of the 63 counties with qualified monitors in the Mountain West would not meet the standard today.
Please join Holland & Hart for a complimentary briefing on EPA’s proposed new standard, including:
- Overview of the Proposed Ozone NAAQS
- Key Issues for Sources in the Mountain West
- Implications for Nonattainment and State Implementation Plans
- Lessons Learned from Past Colorado Ozone Plans
