Holland & Hart Mergers and Acquisitions partner Sue Oakes was quoted in the Denver Business Journal’s March 12 article titled, “Dry powder: What the Colorado M&A market will look like in 2021.” The article discusses how in Colorado, 2019 was one of the most fast-paced years in terms of the number of deals across industries. “We headed into 2020 with a same level of deal flow in all sorts of different markets,” Oakes said. “Everything from consumer products to software and finance.” According to the article, Colorado is expected to see a busy year for deals, especially for businesses that are able to adapt to the pandemic. “In almost any industry, any company that is performing well will be attractive,” Oakes said, adding that what she’s seeing are not opportunistic deals, but rather good deals for sellers.
