SALT LAKE CITY (August 17, 2017) – Holland & Hart Partner Bryan Benard was named the 2017 Labor & Employment section Attorney of the Year by the Utah State Bar. This award is presented annually to a member of the Bar who has made outstanding contributions of time and talents to Bar activities as well as provided outstanding services, programs, and/or activities for Bar members and the public during the past year. The award was presented on August 16 at the Labor & Employment Section Annual Meeting.
“The firm is extremely proud of Bryan’s contributions to the Utah Bar, the Salt Lake community, and his well-deserved reputation among clients and practitioners alike as a respected, sought-after employment law attorney,” said Eric Maxfield, administrative partner of the firm’s Salt Lake City office.
Benard regularly represents both private and public employers in wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination claims in both federal and state courts, as well as in administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies. Bryan’s clients appreciate his sound, seasoned, and pragmatic counsel on a full spectrum of employment issues.
Last year, Bryan was awarded the prestigious 2016 President’s Award of Excellence from the Salt Lake Chamber for his pivotal role providing legal expertise to a working group of business leaders and state legislators, as well as the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, on non-compete legislation throughout the legislative session.
