Holland & Hart LLP Partner James Borgel will be one of five panelists sharing expertise on “Rethinking Healthcare Real Estate Strategies” at the Hospitals & Medical Facilities Summit on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
Colorado is a major medical market in the United States, with 53 hospitals, 8,138-staffed beds, 15,451 physicians, and 3,635 physician offices. The summit will address several healthcare trends related to the shift in “patient-centered” systems, which is radically reshaping the healthcare delivery model.
Borgel and the expert panel will address how real estate plays an integral role in the delivery of healthcare as well as how emerging trends are impacting the industry. Real estate is often the largest asset on a healthcare organization’s balance sheet. The panel will address portfolio strategies and tactics of lease, own, joint venture, sales lease back, recapitalization, and selling surplus real estate.
Panel members include:
- James Borgel – Partner, Holland & Hart LLP
- Jarrod Daddis – Executive Managing Director, Nexcore
- John Gustafson – Director Global Healthcare Services, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank
- Courtney Hanfland – National Director, Real Estate Transaction, Catholic Health Initiatives
