Biggest Verdict of the Year in Colorado

Biggest Verdict of the Year in Colorado

Partner Jane Michaels and her trial team secured the top monetary jury verdict in the state of Colorado in 2008. The jury awarded $14.3 million to her client, National Oilwell Varco, finding defendant Pason Systems USA liable for willful patent infringement.

Law Week Colorado recently recognized Jane for this large jury verdict in the feature article “Biggest Verdicts of the Year.” On April 30, 2009, Judge Richard Matsch denied the defendant’s motion for a new trial.

Congratulations to Jane for this tremendous accomplishment!

Jane is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America and was selected as one of Colorado’s top 50 Super Lawyers. Jane has received top rankings in Chambers USA in both intellectual property litigation and commercial litigation. She was also honored as one of the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America.
