Among her many contributions to Denver’s business and legal communities, Ashley has served as President of the Holland & Hart Foundation since 2011. Ashley was the first non-partner asked to lead the firm’s non-profit organization, essentially a part-time executive director role that involves coordinating, encouraging, and engaging attorneys and staff in every office to participate in activities supporting the Foundation’s mission to create volunteer opportunities benefiting the local and broader communities of the firm’s offices.
Ashley also served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Dumb Friends League, chairing the Development Committee for two years, where she spearheaded a successful corporate sponsorship initiative and improved Board stewardship and engagement. An alumnus of the University of Denver, Ashley received the Bruce D. Johnson Outstanding Alumni Award in 2015, in recognition of her service to the Alumni Council and her efforts encouraging graduates to become active alumni; promoting the law school to alumni, students, and the legal community; and serving as a mentor to students.
In her legal practice, Ashley provides practical guidance to clients in the solar, wind, hydropower, and natural gas industries as they develop energy projects and buy and sell clean power across the nation. She is known by clients and opposing counsel alike for her comprehensive knowledge of the industry, her ability to create strategic solutions, and her expertise negotiating effective terms that help clients achieve their business objectives.
