Holland & Hart Names Elizabeth Sharrer as Chair of the Firm’s Management Committee

Holland & Hart LLP is proud to announce the election of Elizabeth Sharrer as the new chair of Holland & Hart’s Management Committee, effective Jan. 1, 2014. Sharrer is the second woman to be elected as firm chair.

Sharrer has spent her entire career at Holland & Hart, and has served as a member of the firm’s Management Committee, as the managing partner of the firm’s headquarter office in Denver and as the head of the firm’s Real Estate practice group.

Sharrer will succeed labor and employment attorney John Husband, who has served for a decade on the Management Committee, including two successful terms as chair, beginning in 2008.

In addition to serving as chair, Sharrer will maintain her real estate practice, which consists of counseling clients on complex transactions that run the gamut of real estate issues including office, retail and multi-use development and financing, leasing, land use and annexation issues, acquisitions and sales, green building issues and other matters.

“I am greatly honored to serve Holland & Hart and its clients as chair, and I will continue to focus on providing unparalleled client service, attracting top-notch talent and giving back to our communities, in keeping with the greatest traditions of the firm,” said Sharrer.

“Liz always puts the long-term interests of our clients and the firm at the heart of every decision,” said Husband. “I am confident that she will lead Holland & Hart to continued success in the future.”

During Husband’s two terms, Holland & Hart grew from 340 attorneys to 450 attorneys; significantly expanded its presence in Nevada, Utah, Washington D.C. and Idaho; engaged in a major reorganization of firm functions and practice groups to provide greater value to clients; and increased firm profitability during and after the Great Recession without layoffs or cutting services.

Husband will now return full-time to his national labor and employment practice. Best Lawyers in America© has recognized him as the 2014 Denver Labor Law - Management "Lawyer of the Year," he is listed among the Top 100 Colorado Super Lawyers and is top-rated by Chambers USA for Labor & Employment law.
