Donald A. Degnan Named Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America
Boulder, Colo., attorney
Donald A. Degnan of the law firm Holland & Hart LLP has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA).
Degnan, who received a law degree and an MBA from the University of Iowa in 1991, has been litigating intellectual property cases for nearly 25 years. He is the chair of Holland & Hart’s
Intellectual Property Practice Group and previously headed the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.
He has handled a variety of intellectual property cases in federal district courts from coast to coast, as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution tribunals, and various Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals.
“On behalf of Holland & Hart, I congratulate Don on this elite honor in his field of practice,” said Holland & Hart Chair Liz Sharrer. “This is a fitting recognition of his exceptional skills as a litigator and trial lawyer, and of the high ethical standards he has exemplified in his many years of service to his clients and the firm.”
The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
The LCA is aggressively diverse in its composition. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership. The number of Fellowships has been kept at an exclusive limit by design, allowing qualifications, diversity, and inclusion to align effectively, with recognition of excellence in litigation across all segments of the bar. Fellows are generally at the partner or shareholder level, or are independent practitioners with recognized experience and accomplishment. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism, and ethical standards among its Fellows.
