The Summit will feature EPA Region 8 Administrator, Doug Benevento, as keynote speaker. Additionally, Administrator Benevento will participate on a panel on “How Cooperative Federalism is Affecting State Enforcement Trends,” with top state regulators from the Intermountain West to discuss enforcement priorities and streamlining efforts.
The Summit will also consist of six break-out sessions in two tracks covering environmental issues, as well as land use and natural resources.

Speakers:
Doug Benevento is the current Regional Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency Region 8. He was appointed to this position after serving as an Xcel Energy executive, the chief of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and a member of the Douglas County School Board.
Alan Matheson is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. He was previously the Executive Director of Envision Utah, a Director at the Utah Water Project, and a legal associate and partner in the private sector for environmental law.
Todd Parfitt is the current Director of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ). He has also served as the Deputy Director and head of Industrial Siting division, both for the WDEQ. His private sector experience includes serving as the Director of Operations for BHE Environmental, a private consulting firm.
