Scott focuses on creating value for his clients by developing and executing global patent protection strategies and identifying and overcoming patent infringement risks.
Scott has extensive experience prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, analyzing patent validity, and assessing patent infringement risks. He has developed a systematic approach to patent prosecution that focuses on maximizing patent protection in a cost-efficient manner.
As a chemical engineer, Scott has the ability to assist clients in a wide variety of technical areas including chemical processes and formulations, food products, waste treatment processes, radioactive waste processing and storage, medical devices, vehicle control systems, and financial software. His industry experience ranges from manufacturing to rocket combustion research.
Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Scott worked as an associate at a national law firm and served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Judge Randall R. Rader, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
