Sabbatical

While it may seem far off to a young lawyer, we feel that it's important to know now about the firm's commitment to our attorneys having full and balanced lives outside the office.

The idea of taking a break to renew your professional juices is ingrained in our culture. While other firms have sabbatical programs on paper, ours is different. We don't just talk about sabbaticals - our lawyers actually take them. Each partner takes three months off at full pay every five years throughout the course of his/her career. And, the firm recently added a new program for non-partners - after 12 continuous years with the firm, attorneys can take a six-week sabbatical every seven years.

The reward of sabbatical isn't just experienced by the partner who takes time to unplug. When a partner leaves her practice for three months, she knows that her clients will be supported with excellent service by attorneys at every level, including associates. This collaborative team approach is a hallmark of our culture and is infuses our approach to delivering services to our clients.
