Nick’s combination of engineering and legal expertise add value to his patent preparation and prosecution work in the electronics, computer-related, mechanical, and chemical arts.

Nick’s patent prosecution experience includes drafting provisional and nonprovisional patent applications, preparing office action responses, and conducting patentability opinions. He assists clients across a variety of technology areas, including circuitry, software, optics, robotics, mechanical equipment, chemical formulations, and chemical processes.

Before attending law school, Nick was a consulting engineer for a Fortune 100 engineering design firm fulfilling mechanical, process controls, and process engineering roles for the energy, food and consumer products, oil and gas, and petro-chemical industries. During law school, Nick served as a patent examiner extern with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Denver and as an intern case manager for the University of Colorado’s Technical Transfer Office, maintaining the patent portfolio for all the University of Colorado’s intellectual property.
