Jennifer Jensen Selected as the Idaho State Bar 2020 Outstanding Young Lawyer

Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that Jennifer Jensen was awarded the 2020 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award by the Board of Commissioners of the Idaho State Bar (ISB). The award is presented annually and recognizes a young lawyer who has provided service to the profession, the ISB, Idaho Law Foundation, and to the community, and who exhibits professional excellence. Jenn, along with other ISB 2020 award recipients, will be honored in a July special edition of the ISB’s Advocate.

Jenn is an associate in Holland & Hart’s commercial litigation practice and is based in the firm’s Boise office. She is actively involved in Idaho Women Lawyers, the ISB, and the American Bar Association (ABA). In 2015, the Board of Commissioners of the ISB appointed Jenn as Idaho’s first Young Lawyer Delegate to the ABA. She was reappointed to this position in 2017 and again in 2019 for successive two-year terms. She currently serves as the ABA’s State Membership Chair for Idaho and is a member of the Resolution and Impact Review Committee. Jenn also serves as a mentor for Concordia Law students and as a discussion leader for the ISB’s Professionalism and Ethics Section-led orientation for the University of Idaho’s incoming law students alongside other mentors from the local bench and bar. Jenn also provides pro bono legal services assisting undocumented victims of domestic violence in obtaining visas.

In her legal practice, Jenn assists clients with business disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, employment discrimination, wage and hour, and other commercial claims. Through defending clients in several class action and collective action lawsuits, she has significant experience in certification and other class- and collective-action issues.
