Hi-Tech Hub Breakfast Series: Cybersecurity and Privacy Law: State of the States

With no federal statute on the horizon, influential states have revised cybersecurity, privacy, and consumer protection statutes. For example, Colorado requires companies to have a written policy for document destruction, Delaware requires data processors to be registered, and California will require companies to substantially overhaul their collection, storage, and processing practices. Please join us to discuss these and other new laws, as well as:

  • Operational challenges relating to data breaches and cyber incidents,
  • Updated best practices for cyber incident preparedness, and
  • Risk management approaches for the evolving legal landscape.
