Elizabeth helps major national and international companies reduce environmental risks and enhance their environmental compliance.

Her clients include manufacturing, pharmaceutical, aggregates and cement, conventional and renewable energy, air medical transport, and mining companies. Elizabeth regularly advises clients on environmental and regulatory issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, project finance, environmental compliance, permitting, securities filings, and enforcement matters.

Elizabeth works with clients on the environmental aspects of developing, constructing and operating power generation and energy infrastructure projects in the U.S., from site selection and permitting, to financing, to environmental compliance requirements. She regularly advises developers and lenders regarding environmental aspects of financing commercial and industrial projects. Her work includes the assessment of environmental systems through environmental audits and investigations.

  • Represented WPX Energy Rocky Mountain in $910 million acquisition by Terra Energy Partners.

  • Represented a developer in the environmental remediation and multi-use redevelopment of a former urban international airport site.

  • Represented multiple public and private companies in the development, permitting, and financing of over 36 projects, installing approximately 3,000 MW of wind energy generation capacity in 28 states.

  • Represented a public company in a voluntary compliance audit relating to federal and state water quality requirements applicable to its Wyoming gas production facilities

  • Represented companies in the permitting and financing of photovoltaic and concentrated solar energy facilities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and North Carolina.

  • Represented a municipality in connection with a developer’s remediation for a former mine pursuant to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and its proposed redevelopment for residential use

  • Represented a developer in the siting and Clean Water Act permitting of an interstate high speed rail line.
