Emily has experience with high-stakes insurance litigation and regulatory investigations, as well as adversarial proceedings in bankruptcy.
After law school, Emily was a law clerk to Honorable Sidney R. Thomas, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. As a law clerk, Emily researched legal issues, prepared bench memoranda, attended oral argument, and drafted orders and opinions.
Emily also has experience drafting various discovery requests and memoranda in support of motions for summary judgment; preparing for and second-chairing depositions; and training and overseeing staff attorneys and paralegals on document review and other discovery projects.
