Ellie guides clients through remediation and repurposing of contaminated properties as well as hazardous waste management.

Ellie advises clients subject to regulation under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Resource Conservation, and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and their related state statutes.

She routinely negotiates with federal and state regulatory agencies to resolve environmental liability, including at sites involving multi-agency jurisdictional matters. Ellie has successfully negotiated and drafted many administrative orders on consent and judicial consent decrees resolving environmental liabilities. She also guides clients through environmental due diligence in the acquisition and development of real property, including redevelopment and repurposing of legacy properties and Brownfields sites. She helps clients strategically navigate state voluntary cleanup programs, underground storage tank compliance, emergency release response and reporting, and the developing regulatory landscape for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
