Utah Center for Legal Inclusion/Utah Minority Bar Association Pipeline Mentor Program
This program provides law students with access to career development advice and guidance from practicing attorneys. For the past several years, over two dozen Holland & Hart lawyers have acted as mentors to law students in their community.
Law School . . . Yes We Can! (LSYWC)
Colorado law school pipeline program guides underrepresented college students as they navigate their way through college and into law school. Many of our lawyers have acted as mentors since the program’s inception. Holland & Hart made a five-year commitment to support LSYWC’s mission and programs.
Scholarships
Understanding that the high cost of attending law school can be a barrier to many historically-underrepresented and economically-disadvantaged students, Holland & Hart has for many years funded scholarships at the law schools of the University of Colorado, University of Denver, University of Utah, and the University of Idaho.
Colorado Lawyers Committee Hate Crimes Education Task Force
For over two decades, our lawyers have volunteered in middle school and high school classrooms, as well as with community organizations, to present a two-hour fictional trial involving hate crimes committed by a high school student. The program serves as both a civics lesson for students as well as exposure to the legal system while also allowing students to experience what it might be like to be a lawyer. Additionally, in 2020, through the CLC’s partnership with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, DC, the program was adapted for a national audience to be taken into schools across the country. Our Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer is a Co-Chair of the Task Force.
