Mr. Garcia practices primarily in the fields of corporate and securities law. He has extensive experience in venture capital financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. He has counseled both publicly and privately held companies in their corporate affairs and securities law compliance and has additional experience structuring corporate partnering transactions and technology development, distribution and licensing arrangements. His corporate clients have ranged in size from small startups to publicly traded corporations with billion-dollar market capitalizations. He has also represented an array of venture capital, private equity and angel investors in various types of investment and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Garcia has lectured on topics ranging from initial public offerings and venture capital to mergers and acquisitions and buying and selling businesses. He has been recognized as one of Nevada's leading attorneys in the fields of corporate finance, securities and mergers & acquisitions in publications such as Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers and the Nevada Business Journal.
He previously practiced with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati and Venture Law Group in Silicon Valley, and with Hale Lane in Reno prior to its combination with Holland & Hart in 2008.
