EXPERIENCE

Mr. Boodt serves as the practice group manager for Holland & Hart's Financial and Commercial Transactions practice group.  He represents developers and lenders in commercial real estate acquisitions, financing and development. He also has extensive experience litigating a broad range of commercial matters in both federal and Nevada state courts. Representative clients include banks and other commercial lenders, real estate developers, hotel-casinos and mortgage brokerage companies.  Mr. Boodt is licensed to practice in both Nevada and New Mexico.

Mr. Boodt is listed in The Legal 500, was named a Super Lawyer in the 2009 edition of Mountain States Super Lawyers and was included within the Nevada Business Journal's 2009 "Legal Elite" listing of the top one percent of attorneys in the State of Nevada.

RELEVANT REPRESENTATIONS

Represented purchaser in the acquisition and financing of Strip hotel-casino, the highest priced land acquisition in Las Vegas history

Represents international developer of mixed-use, mid-rise condominium project in its acquisition, financing and development of the project, including all federal and state registrations

Represents one of the nation's largest real estate investment trusts.

Lead counsel to developer of Strip high-rise, mixed-use condominium project in its acquisition of construction financing

Represented borrowers in acquisition and financing of four Strip hotel-casinos

Nevada counsel to group of purchasers acquiring significant portion of the assets of a large, national grocery store chain, the second largest leveraged buyout in U.S. history

Represents a large, Nevada based financial institution in a broad range of matters including commercial loan documentation, foreclosures, workouts, modifications and collections

Represented financial institution at trial in successful Chapter 11 involuntary bankruptcy petition relating to the principals of a large, bankrupt mortgage investment company

Represented lenders in successful multi-million dollar foreclosure and deficiency actions, including defense of lender liability claims

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Mr. Boodt serves on the Executive Board of the Water Conservation Coalition, a public/private partnership that works closely with Southern Nevada Water Authority's Conservation Division to increase water efficient business practices within the Southern Nevada business community.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Embrace The Game, a non-profit organization that works in affiliation with the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame to educate, motivate and support college-bound student-athletes in Southern Nevada.
