Mr. Hansen represents individuals and corporations in complex commercial litigation, government investigations, and white collar defense cases. He has litigated cases before Idaho District Courts, the Idaho Supreme Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.
In addition to his firm experience, Mr. Hansen worked for eight years as a deputy prosecutor at the Ada County Prosecutor's Office where he handled criminal and civil cases and asset forfeitures. He has served as lead counsel on numerous jury and bench trials and argued an appellate matter before the Idaho Supreme Court. During law school, Mr. Hansen clerked for Judge Lloyd D. George, Federal District Court, District of Nevada.
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
Represent numerous plaintiffs in complex litigation and jury trial in case against the Federal Government and DuPont, involving violations of federal statutes and regulations, corporate fraud and misrepresentation, FIFRA misbranding, strict liability, and negligence claims.
Litigated numerous felony and misdemeanor cases including violent crimes, property crimes and fraud, drug crimes, and crimes involving habitual offenders.
Advised and assisted law enforcement in obtaining search warrants.
Screened thousands of cases for filing and obtained numerous arrest warrants for suspects.
Litigated numerous asset forfeiture cases seizing money, vehicles, and other property.
Successfully defended elected officials and local government agencies in § 1983 civil rights cases.
Represented inmate in § 1983 civil rights case against the State of Idaho.
Represented local government agencies in lawsuits, appeals, and administrative hearings.
Represented county agencies in employment law matters.
Served as the supervising attorney for the Juvenile Division of the Ada County Prosecutor's Office and lead prosecutor for the Ada County Juvenile Drug Court 2002-2003.
