Mr. Bennett represents public and private companies in both state and federal court to resolve complex contract and business disputes. His practice focuses on representing clients facing claims for retaliation, wrongful discharge, and charges of discrimination. Mr. Bennett has experience litigating and trying issues involving employee handbooks, policy manuals, non-compete covenants, and other contract based claims. He has drafted various employment related agreements, including separation agreements.
By representing large employers, Mr. Bennett has managed large requests for discovery including requests for electronically stored information (ESI). He has experience resolving matters with both court appointed mediators and through other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
In addition, Mr. Bennett has successfully represented clients in antitrust, bankruptcy, business torts, and other complex matters.
Mr. Bennett first joined Holland & Hart as a summer associate in 2006. Previously, he served as a Law Clerk Extern for the Honorable Mikel H. Williams of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. He also served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Stephen S. Trott of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Bennett is admitted to practice in the state of Idaho, the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
