EXPERIENCE

Ms. Baar focuses her practice on employment counseling, litigation, training and mediation. She is an AV rated attorney in the labor and employment group at Holland & Hart's Salt Lake City office. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, she was a partner in a management employment law firm in Utah. She defends employment lawsuits, provides workforce training, advises employers on human resource and employment law issues, mediates and arbitrates employment law disputes, coaches management, and conducts employment investigations. She is a frequent speaker on avoiding employment claims and good management practices.

Ms. Baar was an employment lawyer for almost twenty years at Parsons Behle & Latimer in Salt Lake City. She clerked for Justice Christine Durham of the Utah Supreme Court in 1983. Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business has recognized Ms. Baar as a leading management employment lawyer since 2003. She was named Utah State Bar Employment Lawyer of the Year in 1999, and has been included in Best Lawyers in America, Employment Law, since 1994, and in Super Lawyers magazine-Corporate Counsel Edition. Utah Business has listed her among the "Top 100 Legal Elite" since 2004.

Ms. Baar works frequently as a mediator and arbitrator in employment disputes. She is a member of the U.S. District Court Roster of Mediators and Arbitrators and a member of Utah Council on Conflict Resolution. She completed the Harvard Law School Negotiation Workshop in June, 2005.
