EXPERIENCE

Mr. Zimmerman joined Holland & Hart's Salt Lake City office in 2003. Since 1989, his practice has focused on construction litigation, arbitration and mediation, as well as construction transactions. He is involved in representing clients in virtually all aspects of dispute resolution, including practicing before State and Federal Courts, mediations, and arbitrations.

Mr. Zimmerman has experience representing owners, contractors, and subcontractors on a variety of construction-related disputes including prosecuting and defending mechanics' lien and bond claims in connection with projects throughout the Western United States. He has represented clients on a host of different types of projects including golf courses, earthen dams, industrial facilities, highways, hotels, auto dealerships, condominiums, landscaping, strip malls and other retail facilities, and environmental remediation projects. He frequently represents clients in the drafting and negotiating of design and construction contracts for all project delivery methods and advises clients concerning selection, use and modifications to industry standard form contracts, including AIA, ACG, and EJCDC contracts for a host of different project delivery methods.

In addition, Mr. Zimmerman also has experience representing exploration and production companies, gas gathering companies, and drilling companies, in connection with class action royalty, gas gathering, joint interest billing, and drilling disputes.
