Ms. Sullivan began her career with the firm in 2000, and maintained a litigation practice focusing primarily on employment law (including FMLA and ERISA claims) for more than seven years before joining the Benefits Law Group. She now advises clients on a broad range of benefit-related issues including, plan operations and corrections, HIPAA and GINA compliance, and retirement and welfare plans.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Sullivan was a licensed CPA and worked as an auditor for KPMG, LLP in Washington D.C. and in Billings, Montana.
Ms. Sullivan has experience in:
Advising clients with respect to litigation matters impacted by ERISA and other areas of federal law that affect benefits.
Helping clients to comply with annual reporting requirements and, when necessary, assisting them with late filing and the correction of errors.
Researching and analyzing state and federal laws as they impact benefits issues, including the Internal Revenue Code, FMLA, GINA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
