Mr. Todd has 27 years experience in virtually all aspects of residential, commercial and agricultural real estate development, marketing, sale, purchase, leasing and financing activities.
From 1983 to 1986, Mr. Todd was in-house legal counsel for Realvest, Inc., a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based real estate development, management and investment company. While with Realvest, Mr. Todd was lead attorney for a number of shopping center, office building, apartment, and residential golf course/lakefront resort developments.
Mr. Todd joined Holland & Hart's Aspen office in 1986. Mr. Todd's areas of real estate expertise include ski area base developments, mixed-use resort developments, ranch transactions, land planning, land titles, water rights titles, easements and boundary line disputes as well as HUD/Office of Interstate Land Sales subdivision registrations and exemptions, state subdivision developer registrations and exemptions, preferred builder programs, real estate advertising and real estate broker licensing matters.
Mr. Todd also works with many of the firm's non-profit condominium and homeowner association clients. He also represents a number of local 501(C)(3) charitable organizations and currently serves on the board of directors for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies Endowment Fund, one of Aspen's oldest and most active environmental education and land conservation organizations.
Mr. Todd practices before the Aspen City Council and Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners as well as their respective planning and zoning commissions and boards of adjustment. He is currently serving as the vice chairman of the City of Aspen's Historic Preservation Task Force.
He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Oklahoma and Colorado.
