He serves as a de facto general counsel to his clients and has helped startup clients structure their first angel investments, and then helped those same clients complete multiple rounds of institutional investments from venture capital and private equity investors.
Mr. Thorne advises clients on managing legal and business issues related to rapid growth, and he helps them prepare for potential liquidation opportunities. When his clients are ready to acquire or be acquired, Mr. Thorne has deep experience in merger and acquisition transactions, having worked on deals valued from several hundred thousand dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars.
